Kitchen Remodeling & Kitchen Cabinets in Addison, IL

We have a small older condo, originally with a claustrophobic and inefficient kitchen. We were planning on a whole-house remodel including the kitchen and two bathrooms and had been looking at several cabinet companies. At the Planet Cabinets showroom we talked with Ofer and chose the semi-custom Wynnbrooke line. We had five areas of the house we were designing for: the kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry room, and a storage nook. We were able to find a wood, finish color, and door style we liked that was consistent across the entire house. They were also able to get the countertop material we wanted. Ofer provided measurement drawings and 3D renderings of each area that greatly helped us understand the options available and finalize decisions. Some things had to be decided after demo when we could see what was really possible in the space. Ofer met with us and provided options and expert guidance. Our final layouts are far better than the original building design! The kitchen and island are now spacious, beautiful, and with more storage than we ever thought possible. We are absolutely delighted with the final results. Every day in the kitchen and bathrooms feels like a dream, thanks to Planet Cabinets!

This is now the second major project we have completed with Ofer Gilksman and his team, and that alone probably says more than anything else we could write. Finding a contractor and design team you trust enough to invite into your home for months at a time is not easy, and Ofer and his team earned that trust from us twice. The in-house design process made everything seamless and efficient, and some of the design ideas and recommendations ended up becoming our favorite parts of the project. Ofer and his team helped us create a kitchen that not only looks beautiful but functions better than we could have imagined. The cabinetry itself is outstanding. The quality, finish, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are exceptional. The cabinets completely transformed our home and are honestly one of our favorite parts of the entire project. What also impressed us most was how everything throughout the space feels intentional and cohesive. The cabinetry works beautifully with the flooring, lighting, countertops, and overall design so that it feels like one complete vision rather than separate design choices. Beyond the quality itself, Ofer and everyone at Planet Cabinets were always friendly, responsive, patient, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. We absolutely love the finished result and would recommend Planet Cabinets without hesitation to anyone looking for high-quality cabinetry and a collaborative design experience.

We worked with Ofer who designed a whole new cabinet setup for us for a full kitchen renovation. He came to measure multiple times to make sure everything was absolutely correct before we placed the order. When some parts came in damaged Ofer was all over it to make sure any and all replacements were perfect before being installed. I would 100% work with Planet Cabinets again. Our custom color turned out amazing and we’re so thrilled.

All of our experiences with Planet Cabinet were excellent. We walked into the showroom and were treated with care and attention. When I mentioned that I would be installing the cabinets myself and that I had ideas for layout, the staff didn't change their helpful attitude. Working with them on the product choosing and design process was easy because they freely provided helpful information and guidance. Their experience lead to our order including things we hadn't anticipated but ended up desperately needing during the install process. I was very thankful for this extra effort on our behalf. Communication with the staff was straightforward and prompt. Even the delivery of the cabinets was easy. I ended up needing additional materials when I changed my mind about something and Cabinet Planet was happy to help me with even small orders. I ended up adding bookshelves almost 2 years later and they acted like it was totally normal and were as helpful as ever. If I have a need of cabinets in the future I will certainly be heading back to Planet Cabinets.

From the beginning to end Ofer gave me the best customer service possible. Ofer was able to design a kitchen what my wife has been looking into. Ofer, compared to other people was not just behind a computer to design a kitchen. Instead from the beginning he was showing samples from his showroom which included colors of cabinets, cabinets, drawers, lazy susan, kitchen appliance storage, trash can drawers, etc. He paid attention to every detail on square footage for kitchen to maximize the space and great design. Ofer was there from the beginning til end of remodel, even pick up calls after hours. I would recommend planet cabinets as the first stop for any kitchen remodel, you will NOT regret it. We went with the Orange Cabinetry line that they carried; a more budget-friendly brand that Ofer endorsed for quality and customer service. Even though there was a delay in stock (which we were informed about in advance), the team encouraged us to stick with the sage green color we really loved instead of settling for something else just to speed things up. I’m so glad we waited — the cabinets are beautiful, well-built, and exactly what we wanted. We’ve gotten a ton of compliments. Planet Cabinets also helped us source Jeffrey Alexander hardware, and their support with sizing and quantities made that process easy. Overall, we felt informed, supported, and never rushed. This is a great local business, and I am very glad I used them. They are friendly, have a solid selection, great expertise, and they are responsive and good communicators. They really paid attention to our project, and were very considerate. If we do any kitchen remodels in the future, I would certainly use them again.
